Skye is a dyslexic London-based artist. The artist has developed a genre of work over the years exploring water and perspectival concepts influenced by the dyslexic gaze.
The concept of zeroing in on a still image of turbulent water (for example) and then exploring those shapes is a distinctive manner of the artist.
Through the exploration of refractions, reflections, and symmetry in water, Skye finds connections in visual elements he attributes to visuospatial strengths associated with dyslexia such as spatial reasoning, reversals, and pattern detection. The work leans to sublime principles such as the uncanny, otherness and transcendence. The artist has sold and exhibited work across London, England and internationally. His art education spans bachelors and masters. Skye is in the final year of a PhD in Art.
